The Africa Kyokushin Karate Association (AKKA) was formed Shihan Claasen after after resigning from the Kyokushin Karate Union of Shihan Bas van Stenis of which he was a branch instructor for many years.

After becoming a member of the WKO and Shorin Kempo Karate, the AKKA has grown with branches in several places. Realising that many instructors only join to get rank and organisation hopping, Shihan streamlined the organisation.

In 2020, the dojo in Vredenda celebrated its 20th Anniversary!

Shihan Cele is a member of the WORLD SABAKI FEDERATION (WSF) under the leadership of Kaicho Hoosain Narker as well as the WORLD KUMITE ORGANISATION (WKO) based in Pattaya, Thailand.
